Job Description:Soraa is an innovative LED technology company based on GaN on GaN LED construction. Unlike other LEDs based on non-native substrates, Soraa LEDs use native substrate GaN, which enables our LEDs to run at high temperature and high current density. Founded by Shuji Nakamura in 2008, Soraa manufactures best in class LED MR16 lamps.
Position Summary
In the role of Technical Sales Support Representative you will be charged with providing presale and post support to sales management, independent sales representatives, distributors, installers and end users in the selection, application and procurement of LED lighting systems for architectural applications.
Experience and Skills:
? Strong analytic and problem solving capabilities
? Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base
? Comprehend architectural and lighting terminology
? Ability to fully understand architectural blueprints and engineered drawings
? Fundamental knowledge of LEDs and power supplies
? Basic knowledge of LED lamps and the transformers and dimming systems they use
? Excellent customer services skills
? Sense of urgency and the ability to multitask
? College degree preferred
? Communicate with wide range of customers at all levels of the distribution chain
? Review and evaluate project drawings and specifications
? Generate project bills of materials, layout drawings and project quotations
? Become the acknowledged technical expert with the companys sales representatives, installers and end users
? Assist with demand planning and resource allocation
? Maintain good relations with prospective and current customers of the company
? Perform order administration duties as required
? Through a consultative selling process recommend appropriate lighting solutions
? Handle a variety of special projects as requested
? Occasional attendance at industry tradeshows and customer site visits
