If so, then the Trade Capture team at Liquidnet wants to speak with you.Trading platforms have undergone specialization. These platforms are built for specific tasks. Tasks such as block trading, algorithmic trading, smart order routing, etc? Each specialized system may be complete and self-contained, but rarely does a trade or order reside in a single system. Orders may be split up into many parts and sent across the network to many different platforms based on the specific needs of the order.
The Trade Capture team is concerned with capturing all of this data across all systems. Every trading message must be stored, normalized, and correlated to other messages. From this consistent data store, other teams may write monitoring programs, perform analysis, and run a range of reports. This consolidated data store must answer questions such as, ?What is this member?s total market exposure?? and ?Where in the world did this order come from??
As part of this small team, you will participate in all aspects of software development. Hard core server-side programming will be your breakfast. Working with other groups and their specific trading platforms will be your lunch. Wrapping everything up in a world-class service will be your dinner. You will work with state of the art server technology, databases, and development tools. You will work alongside a talented team of engineers and testers who are passionate about data. And there is a lot of data to be passionate about.
