2U is seeking a talented Technical SEO Specialist to manage a variety of search engine optimization (SEO) initiatives. We are looking for a self-motivated, hands-on individual with solid technical experience in metrics-driven organic search, excellent problem solving skills and a passion for the web and inbound marketing. The Technical SEO Specialist is a full time, in-house position.
Work with the SEO team to design, test, analyze, optimize and scale SEO campaigns leveraging your own experience, successes and industry trends
Develop and present detailed technical recommendations including optimized website architecture, server and CMS requirements
Engage cross-team with Outreach Coordinators to identify and establish relationships (inbound link acquisition and optimization) with key websites and bloggers
Manage tactical execution of SEO strategies, including: keyword research, on-site content optimization, technical recommendations and competitive intelligence
Make recommendations for on-page optimization initiatives which focus on conversion improvements and user experience
Collaborate with web analysts to leverage data in order to deliver insights about SEO
Keep up to date on current SEO/SEM strategies through continuing education, seminars, subscriptions and self-study
Things That Should Be in Your Background:
3-5 years SEO / organic search marketing experience in organic search marketing / SEO (Experience in Lead Generation or at a Digital Agency preferred)
Technical SEO experience is required
Experience keeping website code in adherence to SEO best practices
Proven track record of optimizing websites to obtain prominent search rankings for competitive head and long tail keywords
International SEO experience is preferred but not required
Experience developing and executing creative campaigns that encourage inbound linking
Demonstrated understanding of web analytics, KPIs and strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Strong familiarity with Google Analytics, Webmaster and other third-party keyword research, SEO and optimization tools
Must be able to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working on and collaborating with a medium-sized team
Excellent communication, presentation, writing and research skills
Ability to think out of the box and find creative, unorthodox solutions when needed
