Summary
Description
Follow SOP in the installation, adjustment, repair, and maintenance of Singulex and other diagnostic laboratory instrumentation.
Run immunoassays using manual and automated pipetting equipments.
Support internal departments with the operational aspects of the instrument, equipment, and software.
Diagnose instrumentation problems and repair equipment in a timely manner.
Provide remote diagnosis and repair support when needed.
Work with engineers and vendors to identify root causes and resolutions for instrument problems.
Proactively communicate relevant information to appropriate internal Singulex team(s).
Communicate with Field Support Manager on a regular basis.
Ensure all repair parts are onsite when needed and all issues are recorded appropriately.
Test repaired instruments in all operating modes per specifications.
Continuously improve documentation by generation and revision of standard operating procedures.
Work with engineers and scientists to improve or develop equipment and automated processes.
Adherence to regulatory requirements, ISO, and FDA.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Biology, Science, Industrial/Mechanical Engineer, medical technology, or clinical lab science related field.
Minimum two years of technical experience in general laboratory work.
Minimum one year of service and support or equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Experience with instrument installations, on-site customer training, reagent applications and product conversions required.
Must have effective time-management techniques, operator training, clinical lab experience, strong customer orientation and effective customer service/interpersonal relationship skills.
Knowledge in circuit boards, lasers, optics, fluidics and linear drive motors a plus.
Software IT skills (Microsoft programs).
Minimal travel required on as-needed basis.
Able to lift and move 70 lbs.
Ability to work with small fittings, tubing, and components.
