GENERAL PURPOSE: Conducts routine and moderate (where applicable) cell site/antenna installation
and/or maintenance activities. Needs limited technical supervision or assistance to diagnose and repair customer
troubles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Tests, locates and repairs on board C band terminal problems by interpreting customer complaints, service
orders, circuit diagrams and electrical schematics.
2. Direct others to install, rearrange and remove equipment and associated wiring.
3. Verifies work order information and receipt of all necessary equipment and information.
4. Develops test and adjusts procedures for MTN equipment as necessary.
5. Ensures that routine maintenance on assigned ships are completed regularly.
6. Maintain tools, test equipment and travel documents in order and ready to travel.
7. Complete required paperwork and documentation of work within 72 hours of event.
8. Provide remote troubleshooting and support to customers and junior technicians.
9. Any other duties as may be assigned.
NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: This position will report to the Manager of Technical Services.
Interaction with customers and shipboard personnel on a daily basis.
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS: 3-4 years wireless network installation and/or maintenance.
Equivalent of Associates degree in electronics technology discipline. Ability to read and note equipment LCD.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: PC use, telephone use. Heavy travel (approximately 85 required).
Able to transport or lift tools and/or equipment weighing up to 75lbs.
