Technical Services Manager Turbine Air Systems
The Services Technical Manager is the go-to technical lead for a broad scope of services provided by TAS. The deliverables of this position include the documentation deliverables such as commissioning procedure development as well as being the point contact lead for resolution of large scale technical field issues. Additional scope, based on the customer job in question may also include an operator educational program for the customer. The activities and projects of the Services Technical Manager will also include the development work required to structure the documentation and output in a sustainable format suitable for the rapid growth of TAS services. Future projects to include that required to cement Customer Training as a formal service offering to current and new customers.
Development of manuals and procedures required for customer deliverables such as Startup and Commissioning procedures
Conduct internal and external organizational needs assessments to define the information and skill areas requiring training aids and programs.
Develop file and information storage and sharing structure to facilitate access to information and reduction in duplicate development efforts.
Act as the primary contact point for intricate service and warranty issues and coordinate with the Service Manager for TAS resources to drive issue to resolution. Coordinate all post resolution activities to reduce opportunity for reoccurrence and proactively address additional sites at risk.
Document all current and future procedures and develop training plans for implementation. Lead technical writing resources for formalized documentation requirements.
Determine and develop training methods to be used to educate internal resources and customers on and/or changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor?s direction.
Ensure quality of deliverable documentation manuals
Improve operations and maintenance manual quality
Manage internal and external technical writing resources
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, CERTIFICATION, AND EDUCATION:
A degree in engineering from an accredited three or four-year engineering program, in one of several disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Process, Industrial, etc. is preferred.
Applicable work and/or military experience accepted in lieu of formal degree
Extensive experience in power plant commissioning AND operational duties
Process development oriented; Creation of formal processes and methods from the ?ground up? will be required to ensure efforts of the role are scalable
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Proven customer relationship and interaction abilities
Outstanding organizational skills.
Advanced level with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint and Visio.
Technical aptitude and ability to understand basic engineering concepts
Proven ability to operate with integrity and to handle confidential information
Demonstrated high level of service and ability to be proactive
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time-management and organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to complete multi-step tasks and follow through to completion

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, stooping, crouching, talking, hearing and performing repetitive motions. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal and conduct extensive reading. The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
