Technical Services Position Rave Mobile Safety

Position Responsibilities:
The Technical Services Engineer will play an integral role in the success of the Rave Services team by maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction with Rave's software. This candidate will provide the full spectrum of Pre and Post Sales Technical Services for Rave's customers.
Specifically s/he will be responsible for:
Acting as primary technical contact to designated customers for Service Delivery Management,including attendance and participation in Sales, Technical and Operational meetings.
Attending customer sites to install and test Rave server and desktop products inside and outside of normal business hours, including the supervision of Rave Service Partners.
Troubleshooting web applications and network connectivity issues. Issues to be resolved require a broad range of troubleshooting skills related to: software and hardware functionality, application server setup, data analysis, operating system configuration, installation, migration, and upgrades to Rave products.
Efficient, effective communication both with customers and within internal departments.
Prioritizing numerous issues of varying severity, and effectively managing the resolution of all issues within accepted service levels. This includes ownership of the data entered into the CRM system and updating both client and appropriate Rave employees of status of all issues on a timely basis.
Creating documentation and other tools to proactively educate customers, increasing team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
One week per month ? 24/7 On-Call rotation.
Essential Qualifications:
3 years + experience in a client facing technical services environment or equivalent consulting experience.
Strong Excel skills.
Web Services Skills.
IP network configuration and troubleshooting including ports, firewalls, and security.
Active Directory installation and management including 3rd party integration and SSL certificate management.
OpenLDAP or other LDAP server configuration and troubleshooting.
Certificate Authority experience, including installing certificates and troubleshooting certificate chains.
Internet application architectures based upon Java technology and Internet security are needed.
Microsoft Server and Windows Clients.
Excellent investigative and debugging skills.
Excellent time management skills, organizational skills, problem solving and crisis management skills.
Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems using a variety of resources and tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Programming and/or scripting experience (Java, .Net and Perl).
9-1-1 Public Safety expertise a plus.
Working knowledge of Apache, Tomcat and/or JBoss.
Web Server configurations.
Unix/Linux, (ex. grep,tail).
Basic understanding of application web services written in REST / SOAP.
Shibboleth, CAS experience.
PHPMyAdmin, MYSQL experience a plus.
