Description:
Overture is looking for a Software Technical Manger with strong technical leadership experience and embedded design skills in the Networking and Telecom industries. The manager will lead and contribute on a team that is responsible for designing and implementing new features for Overture?s fiber, copper, and TDM, Ethernet edge and aggregation products.
Duties:
The Software Technical Manager will be a member of the Core Development Organization and will be responsible for leading and contributing to architecture/design documentation, coding, and testing according to Overture Networks development process. The manager will also be responsible for leading the team in accurate estimates of effort, reporting status, and deliverables against committed dates. Additionally, the team will be responsible for unit, integration, and feature testing of developed software.
Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal and teaming skills.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Experience in creating and managing cross-functional project plans involving product line management, requirements, software, hardware, FPGA, and system test using Agile methods, specifically Feature Driven Development.
Experience in managing employee performance through continual review.
Proficient in C and C++.
Proficient in Embedded Linux.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
BS in EE, CpE, or CS.
Embedded, real-time software design including high-availability systems.
Protocol and Datapath development experience, ideally Marvell AX 240/340, SOAM, LLDP, LACP, and 8032v2
