You will be responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for Netformx products.
Technical Solutions Consultants are the primary technical resource for the inside sales force. Technical Consultants are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the ISR team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products. The Technical Consultant I must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Reporting to the Manager of Technical Solutions Group (Operations Organization), this position will be customer facing and managing technical aspects of customer life-cycle with heavy focus on presales. Other activities include delivering initial training programs, handling consumer questions and complaints, stimulating growth as well as overall user satisfaction. This position will work closely with customers and members of ISR team, engineering, support and operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to demonstrate product capabilities, deliver training programs, handle minor support and escalation issues as well as doing mini pilot?s for larger or more strategic opportunities when required. Successful Consultants will have the ability to work aggressively independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
Delivery of customer facing technical presentations/demonstrations
Ability to establish technical champions to help drive sales.
Organize and manage small pilot programs or POC?s
Assist ISR Team in creating project proposals.
Customization of demonstration materials(Excel Templates, Word Templates, XML, etc)
Engage customers throughout all levels of the organization and help to ensure the Netformx team meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Create, manage and deliver standard and custom training programs.
Assist ISR Team in identifying new opportunities within existing customer accounts
Contribute to the growth of Netformx through best practices, methodology, industry/technology trends.
The position requires both strong technical and sales skills to close opportunities, as well as the sales skills to drive the renewal business and help sell new products/services. A strong candidate will have prior experience in technical capabilities of DesignXpert, customer facing experience, experience in handling technical questions or escalations, experience training or mentoring around software capabilities. Additionally, experience with networking vendors such as Cisco, HP, Juniper, Brocade or others is a strong plus.
A strong candidate will have a solid experience in Telecom/Networking possessing strong written and verbal communication skills as well as superb skills in business analysis, task prioritization, project/program management, processes, and change management. This individual must be able to handle a number of simultaneous customers and tasks, demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to drive revenue and customer satisfaction, and be successful in a collaborative environment. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Planning and conducting presales meetings (in person or via web conference);
Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
Prepare presentations and reports.
The ability to work with various groups of different skill sets ranging from business to technical and facilitate communication between them.
The ability to manage dynamic and diverse individuals.
The ability to bring structure to information so that it can be clearly understood, communicated, and acted upon.
The ability to bring structure to situations so that tasks can be identified, plans made and schedule(s) established.
The ability to understand the goals of an account, necessary tasks, and interactions between groups and establish processes as needed to meet the goals.
Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate with team members, management, and 3rd parties.
Potential average of 25% travel to domestic and international locations.
Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a basic knowledge of technology and software. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for moderate travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor?s degree in relevant field required (e.g., business, computer science, engineering, math, etc.); advanced degree or Netformx DesignXpert certification is a plus.
Minimum of 1-2 years? industry experience
Experience in developing relationships at technical levels of customer organizations.
Experience with meeting facilitation, presentation creation and delivery.
Experience with desktop software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Google Docs, etc.) and other
project-based tools (e.g., wikis, source control, bug tracking, etc.).
Detail oriented, has effective investigation and problem solving skills.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills are a must.
Ability to multi-task, handles multiple projects, and drives a project to completion.
