As such, Voltage?s advanced technologies can be used in a wide array of sophisticated use cases and with many different products, platforms and solutions: Cloud stacks, Mobile systems, enterprise frameworks, identity and access management infrastructure, data management, compliance tools and performance management systems.
In order to help establish the value and priority of new technical solution based on blending Voltage?s product with the latest products and platforms, Voltage is seeking a hands-on technically minded product expert for hands-on in-house proof of concepts, to develop new solution offerings from hybrid product blends, build high power technical demonstrations, and assist in establishing new high-impact hybrid solution capabilities to take to market.
This unique and new role in the Office of Product Management at Voltage Security will work closely with the VP of Product Management, the Product Management team, Engineering, Product Marketing and Business Development as a vital enabler in bringing new solutions to market. You will be the MacGyver who can quickly see the business value in new combinations of advanced technologies to set to help take the company to the next level.
You will be a self-motivated, passionate individual who lives and breathes enterprise software technology with particular zest for innovation and market disruption. As a quick learner, you will be able to evaluate potential hybrid offerings based on market analysis, customer and partner input, and then assess new technology opportunities. You will frequently roll up your sleeves and dive in to help shape a working solution from the various parts to make a new whole. To succeed in the role, you will have a background in owning product or solution development in a high growth enterprise software company. As a business leader, you will be looking to prioritize solution opportunities with laser focus on enhancing revenue growth and delighting customers with solutions that grow into new, profitable markets in data security.
With the data security landscape changing constantly and with new cloud and mobile initiatives adding new dimensions to the problem of securing data, your knowledge in Agile techniques with hands-on enterprise software experience will set you aside as the ?go to? person who can make solutions work in short order. You will have passion about your business solution, which will be reflected in your approach to quality, detail, and success.
You will have skills in the following areas:
Enterprise and service provider software development, architecture and deployment- ideally in enterprise software related to compliance and security (e.g. Identity management, authentication and authorization, encryption, mobility, virtualization, networking, and cloud)
Business decision making skills for laser focused prioritization ? taking business and market requests, emerging market needs, competitive needs to shape new hybrid offerings from a variety of partners and technologies from Voltage
No fear of new, disruptive technical innovation to open new markets and opportunities outside the norm and traditional landscape
Experience in high growth, emerging technologies and the fast paced exciting environment which comes with it.
Be able to understand how to bolt together business API?s to create solutions. Software engineering is a bonus but not expected. However, the ability to engineer and collaborate on a solution to a proof of concept stage is required.
The ability to work with technical counterparts at technology partners to get the job done and remove roadblocks
Agile software development ? scrum and sprint experience to work within Voltage?s agile processes.
Enterprise software architecture savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new solutions

Detailed Responsibilities include
Drives market research and intelligence, including competitive analysis and intelligence, and solution segmentation, buyer personas and external influences with product management to drive hybrid solution development
Be truly hands on ? able to bolt together technologies ? desktop and server solutions, API?s and Web Services to create quick integrated demo?s and proof of concepts.
Be able to evaluate into account the unique business value of your solutions, and articulate the benefits to sales and marketing
Engage customers on a regular basis to maintain solution influence relationships and have go-to ?reference? relationships for validation of ideas
An understanding of how to create a business case, working with the VP of Product Management to build resource investment cases where needed.
Be able to comfortable demonstrating solutions, and building repeatable demo?s and POC system to evaluate and test in-house.
Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to adapt messaging to target audience are a must ? public speaking a major plus

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
A track record in being able to build demonstrable solutions from enterprise software technologies
At least 8 years of enterprise software experience in implementation, architecture, professional services, solution architecture or sales engineering with proof of concepts or product development and design success
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills along with strong presentation skills.
An understanding of Java, C, SOAP, HTML or related enterprise software interface technologies such as ETL tools, database interfaces, web services, Linux and Windows.
Passion for competition, being a top performer, and the ability to maintain personable relationships with all internal and external customers.
Excellent collaboration skills with a wide variety of internal team members.
Initiative and a ?self-starter? attitude, with sufficient flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
