Technical Specialist - Entry Level Extraprise
DescriptionThe associate technical consultant will be a member of a team that will be responsible for the following:
Designing, building, and deploying new marketing database environments
Enhancing, maintaining, and supporting existing marketing database environments
Supporting account services staff
Interacting with clients to provide support and service
Extensive experience will be gained learning and using both fundamental data base design techniques and those unique to marketing databases. Additionally, associate technical consultant will acquire valuable experience and expertise working with industry-leading technology and application software, as well as with software development and maintenance methodologies and approaches. Finally, the Extraprise resource assignment model ensures exposure to multiple client environments. Responsibilities:
Support the requirements gathering process
Interpret requirements and develop technical design specifications
Develop and test code
Report project and task progress
Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have relevant course work in information systems management and computer science disciplines, e.g., operating systems, database management, programming languages, etc. The ideal candidate will also have experience with programming jobs as an intern, school employment, or summer experience.
The following attributes are important:
Good presentation and good communication skills, i.e., verbal and written
Ability to work independently, but be able to work effectively in a team
Strong desire to learn
Knowledge of SQL is a strong plus
Education
BA / BS, preferable in computer science or information technology
