Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Technical Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision and operations of the technical department. Including the daily operation and duties of technicians in and outside the main laboratory. The technical supervisor must be capable of performing, teaching, and monitoring all functions within the department.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty competently. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors of Science Degree
2 years lab training or experience and
2 years of supervisory experience in non-waived testing
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- ASCP Preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- English
MATH SKILLS:
- General math abilities
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Basic word
The Technical Supervisor must meet the personnel responsibilities per CLIA Sec. 493.1495: Standard Testing personnel responsibilities.
