Job Description
The Technical Support Engineer (TSE) is responsible for troubleshooting and developing technical solutions related to software and setup errors for field engineers, technicians, and customers via the telephone and/or Internet. Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion. Escalates urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to appropriate internal resources utilizing proper escalation procedures. Requires general supervision.
Required Skills
Experience in Network Administration or in a related field or area
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures relating to Windows Operating Systems, Windows networking and troubleshooting Windows network environments
Utilizes experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks
A degree of creativity and latitude is required
Ability to work under general supervision
Effective written and verbal communication skills required
Required Experience
Experience in SQL administration
Experience with Patch Management and End Point Protection
Knowledge of Non-Windows based Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris, Mac, etc)
Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related field
