We are looking for a talented, motivated, and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to join the growing AccuRev services team and help support our customers who are implementing and using AccuRev's award-winning SCM software product suite. Responsibilities
Work directly with AccuRev's customers and prospects via e-mail, phone, web and onsite to resolve their technical support issues.
Conduct Web based training for our end users
Use strong troubleshooting capabilities and in-depth product knowledge to resolve technical issues and provide workarounds as necessary.
Provide product usage guidance to customers to minimize their learning curve.
Handle escalated support issues, working closely with Engineering.
Reproduce and file software defects reported by customers and prospects.
File enhancement requests by customers and prospects, work with Marketing on providing detail for future requirements when applicable.
Train / Mentor Technical Support employees.
Creation of Application Notes and Tutorial videos
Requirements
AS/BS in technical discipline or 2-3 years software support experience.
Experience using Software Configuration Management products such as AccuRev, ClearCase, CM/Synergy, CVS, Visual SourceSafe, Dimensions a definite plus.
Computer skills ? basic scripting (Perl, shell, .bat), basic OS administration (Windows and Unix/Linux), basic network infrastructure.
Strong Customer focus and advocacy - the ability to understand the needs and priorities of customers and the desire to meet their expectations.
Excellent troubleshooting and debugging capabilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent follow-through skills.
Ability to work well in a remote team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Highly Desired
Working knowledge of software development and software build processes/tools.
Experience working with customers directly on deployment of SCM.
Experience with various scripting languages including Perl, UNIX shell scripts and Windows batch files.
