Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly technical; customer oriented Technical Support Engineer to join our Desktop and Service Provider Support organization. You will be a part of a growing dedicated support team and will participate in all phases of the product lifecycle. The primary function of the Support Engineer is to assist our post-sales customers with technical issues. The Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the customer relationship is managed through proactive customer communication and provide rapid response when needed. This is a technical role and knowledge of the Windows, Linux and Solaris operating systems, messaging systems, with an emphasis on MTAs and network configuration, is required. Resolving customer issues include problem analysis and identification, training customers on product features, escalating product issues and managing them towards resolution.
Requirements:
Windows, Linux and/or Solaris messaging support experience
Previous anti-abuse (anti-spam and anti-virus) experience a big plus
A working knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Scripting (perl, python, shell) experience a plus
A positive, customer-oriented attitude
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
