Technical Support Engineer Skybox Security
Skybox Security is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to be part of our growing Customer Support organization. This position will be located at Skybox Security?s corporate headquarters in San Jose, Calif.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Technical Support Engineer will support customers and be primarily involved with the following activities:
Interact directly with Skybox Security?s customers via phone, Webex and (occasionally) on-site
Analyze, track and resolve customer issues in a professional, timely manner
Work with development and TLS teams to investigate and resolve issues
Assist Skybox Security?s sales team with pilots and POCs
Serve as the primary point-of-contact for VIP customers for all technical issues
Contribute and support Skybox Security?s support knowledge base
Help to maintain the Skybox Security?s customer-facing support facilities
3+ years of experience in customer-facing activities (such as pre-sales engineering, technical account management and/or technical support)
2+ years of experience in supporting security solutions, including knowledge and hands-on experience with network devices and network architectures (such as firewalls and routers).
Hands-on experience in system management (such as Linux / Windows)
Independent, fast self-learner with solid problem solving skills
Superb oral and written communication skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal and telephone skills
Thrive in a team environment and possess the willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve customer success
Mission-oriented, methodical and punctual
Polite, patient and courteous
Willing to travel
Energetic, with a strong desire to succeed
Experience in firewall management / auditing
Knowledge of complex network environments
Knowledge in vulnerability management and vulnerability scanners
Knowledge in security compliance requirements and information security standards
Shell, batch, Perl and SQL scripting
CISSP ? Skybox Security will support the right candidate in obtaining certification
Project management experience
