The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting and developing technical solutions related to the Lumension Security software products. Creates workarounds when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion. Escalates urgent problems which require more in-depth knowledge to the appropriate internal resources. Collaborates with Development, QA and other Technical Specialists to research, identify and validate issue resolutions. Clearly and succinctly documents communications to our customers using our the issue management system. Effectively prioritizes and escalates customer issues as required.
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures relating to Windows Operating Systems, Windows networking and troubleshooting Windows network environments
Able to multi-task and manage priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact directly with customers.

Detailed knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server System
Experience in SQL administration (optional)
Knowledge of Non-Windows based Operating Systems (Linux, Solaris, Mac)
Experience with Patch Management and Endpoint Protection Security
