Technical Support Engineer Verdasys

The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for providing exceptional support and technical assistance to Verdasys customers. The TSE works closely with customers, to diagnose issues and provide implementation support. The TSE acts a liaison between the customer and Verdasys engineering in problem resolution. As part of this, the TSE is expected to be able to recreate customer corporate enterprise environments (including operating systems, applications, networks, etc.) and customer use cases to reproduce issues and determine and test resolutions. The TSE will be assigned customer requests and is expected to handle them expeditiously and professionally. Communication with customers is frequent, and is done either in person or via email, phone, or instant messaging.
The ideal candidate is a ?hands-on? individual contributor with a broad base of knowledge as an IT generalist or systems administrator. Specific previous experience supporting or implementing security products and or tools in large enterprise or federal customers is desired. Individual must have knowledge of programming languages and the ability to troubleshoot application crashes, system crashes (BSOD) and application and system hangs.
Requirements:
BS degree or greater
Strong knowledge of Microsoft debugging tools (windbg, procmon, debug view
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
Exposure to Microsoft Windows server technologies (2003/2008)
Strong knowledge of desktop Windows operating systems (Windows 7, XP, Vista
Experience working with virtualization technologies like VMWare, Citrix, etc., is required
Knowledge of Linux/Unix is a significant advantage, but not required
Exposure to common scripting languages like VBScript, Power Shell, Java Script, Shell Script, etc. and SQL scripting for MS SQL Server and basic DBA skills
High energy and enthusiasm for delivering services along with excellent oral and written skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills, as well as sound, independent judgment
Written and conversational knowledge of Japanese language a big plus
Pluses: Industry recognized technical certifications MCP, MCDBA, MCSE, CISSP, CISA, etc.
