Technical Support Scientist BioNano Geomics
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Interact directly with scientific customers to facilitate data analysis, including genome assembly, structural variation discovery, and a broad range of other genomics applications.
Handle problem recognition, research, resolution, and follow up for routine and complex problems.
Provide technical guidance regarding the choice and use of the appropriate BioNano Genomics product to existing and prospective customers
Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming phone, email, and in person requests for assistance from customers, with particular emphasis on downstream analysis assistance
Develop, write, and edit technical documentation and training materials for internal and external customers.
Provide critical product improvement feedback to development teams.
Help establish systems and tools for receiving, tracking, and responding to customer inquiries
Triage and dispatch issues requiring field support to BioNano Genomics Engineers and Applications Scientists
Log and manage customer feedback
Advanced degree plus 3 years relevant lab experience in molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics or related field. PhD preferred.
Customer support experience highly desirable.
Practical experience and/or in-depth knowledge of sequencing and genomics methods
Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills required
Outstanding written and verbal communication and training skills a MUST
A customer-focused and team-player mindset
Willing to travel up to 10%
