Technical Support Specialist Envestnet Asset Management
Envestnet is a leading provider of integrated solutions to financial advisors and institutions. This position is accountable for ensuring continuity of computer system services for computer users by providing the technical expertise, assistance, and project coordination necessary to install computer software products, modify/repair hardware and resolve technical problems.
Install workstations and printers on the LAN according to schedule or as requested, ensuring that cables are labeled and documented for future reference.
Assure continuity of the computer system for all system users.
Install selected software and hardware products.
Repair hardware as necessary and work closely with service vendors to ensure continuity of service.
Download and test new versions of client software for workstations and make recommendations based on findings.
Research software products and applicability to organizational environment.
Trains users in learning new company-provided applications and assists in problem solving for applications issues.
Suggest training ideas for users based upon interaction from resolving support requests.
Maintains records, logs and reports of assistance.
Notify maintenance vendor when equipment needs to be repaired and keeping records of such.
Ensure efficient and economical utilization of equipment and resources. Provide for safekeeping of equipment and supplies.
Move PC equipment to different locations.
Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions.
Bachelor?s degree in technology or related subject, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
3+ years of experience as a computer support specialist.
Strong interpersonal, customer service skills.
Ability to work without supervision.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good time management skills.
Must meet physical requirements, specifically removing and installing computer components.
