THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Technical Support Specialist reports to the helpdesk Manager. Provides helpdesk support for IT hardware, software and operating systems problems by answering calls from users and performing troubleshooting over the phone.
Support all users with all aspects of hardware, software and applications used in the corporate IT environment.
Ensure to provide general technical support in a courteous and friendly manner to 130 employees and managers;
Help administer the Windows servers;
Help maintain the Active Directory and all major Windows services;
Participate in daily IT backup administration and maintenance;
Insure up-to-date information on the anti-virus server and user stations;
Manage and maintain our Office IT environment in such a way it remains virus free;
Assist in general office operations, coordinating office activities (relocating offices, printers, other equipment), maintenance of the telephone system, purchasing equipment etc.;
Maintain adequate documentation on all aspects of the IT environment relating to Helpdesk activities.
Skills and Competencies:
Diploma in relevant field;
2 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
Experience in resolving PC and networking issues including configuration of network settings/rights etc. as necessary;
Excellent knowledge of Windows; MS-Office; MS-Exchange/Outlook;
Good application support experience with Microsoft products;
Excellent communication skills;
Professional attitude with co-workers and clients, customer focused;
Strong team player;
Able to execute tasks in a fast-paced environment;
Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and to effectively prioritize.
