OptiMedica is looking for an experienced technical phone support professional to handlecustomer related issues, spare parts orders, Great Plains (GP) call processing and Regional
Technical Support Engineer (RTSE) dispatch. In this role, you will provide technical support
to customers as well as OptiMedica and Distributor Service Engineers on operational or
procedural aspects of the Catalys system.

Skills/Experience Requirements:
2+ years working in product/customer support in a technical industry
1+ years of experience with laser or phacoemulsification technology
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
Great Plains (GP) knowledge an advantage
Prior experience in a clinical or biomedical environment is a plus
Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical, diagnostic equipment or medical devices and terminology
Familiarity with ISO and FDA servicing requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel to local sites to support field escalations (15% max)
Willing to work occasional weekends and support customer after hours coverage ona rotational basis
Responsibilities:
Serve as the first line responder in call center to customer support inquiries
Provide superior customer service to Catalys customers
Responsible for answering phone calls and assuring that calls are forwarded to the appropriate representative
Manage all Tech Support issues to resolution or appropriate escalation
Answering questions on the basic operation of OptiMedica equipment
Sending fact sheets to customers via e-mail or fax
Using GP ERP system to dispatch service notifications, update service calls and manage escalations
Update equipment records in GP as needed for basic customer changes
Provide logistics support to Field Engineers
Provide On Call support in a scheduled Rotation
Education:
A degree in electronics, mechatronics, optics or equivalent experience
