Technical Trainer Seven Networks
Our Customer Support organization is seeking a Technical Trainer for our Redwood City office. The Technical Trainer will provide training content and presentations for various audiences, including user, administrators and engineers. The successful candidate will be a positive force with internal and external customers. This position reports to the Sr Director of Global Customer Support.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, research, develop, and deliver technical training content in multiple formats
Perform video based online and classroom-style technical training courses for new and existing customers, employees and partners.
Assist with the creation of a multi-discipline certification program: user, administrator, and engineer.
Update systems, managing lab configurations, testing new features
Develop lab exercises to demonstrate monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting on Seven?s products.
Make suggestions on improving training procedures.
Positively promote Seven Network products in every customer interaction.
Travel may be required depending on customer needs up to 10% max.
Skills & Experience Required:
Minimum of two years? experience in a technical training delivery position
Previous training experience in a technology or software company highly desirable.
Familiarity with Linux/UNIX, working knowledge of TCP/IP (and/or HTTP) protocols (OSI model)
Working knowledge of radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design
Excellent public speaking skills
Excellent writing skills
An eagerness to learn
