About the Technical Writer positionAs a member of MEDITECH's Product Development team, you will create and maintain accurate, concise, and easy-to-read product documentation for end-users.
What You'll Do in this Role
This position involves developing and maintaining succinct, comprehensive online Help, user manuals, and other documentation; writing about complex subject matter for a varied audience; extracting pertinent, technical information from design and related technical documents; using Help authoring and word processing tools to create and modify content; designing logical online Help structures; evaluating documentation for audience needs; applying writing standards and styles consistently; following quality management procedures and participating in continuous process improvement; proofreading and editing documentation for peers; creating and modifying effective graphics; participating in software development and design meetings; and analyzing healthcare software by testing and communicating with subject-matter experts.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Bachelors or Associates Degree, with course work in a related field (such as Technical Communication, Human Factors, English, or Journalism) or equivalent writing experience
Professional experience as a writer in software development environments
Writing, editing, and information design skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Organizational and workload management skills
Verbal and listening communication skills
Experience with an online Help authoring tool
Advanced word processing software skills
Strong technical aptitude
Attention to detail
Desire to learn
Experience using graphic tools
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
