At NextBio, we built an innovative web-based platform that enables scientists to easily search for, access, and utilize knowledge locked within the deluge of public and proprietary data. NextBio is developing products that are creating a new path forward for basic scientific discovery, translational research, and personalized medicine.This is a contract opportunity for an experienced technical writer who can help us create high quality scientific materials including user guides, use cases, and white papers. The candidate must have a strong scientific background and be knowledgeable of the latest developments in genomics and related research areas, high-throughput technologies, and data integration strategies.
Requirements:
Masters or PhD in biology, genomics, or related field with proven writing experience;
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
Strong research skills to gather external data and internal feedback from subject matter experts;
Ability to work independently, provide accurate estimates of project scope, and meet deadlines;
Competence with current desktop publishing software and related applications.
