Cvent has an entry level opportunity for a Technical Writer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team environment. The ideal candidate will have an education and interest in Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, or English. This position would be part of Cvent's User Experience Team in Technology.

Position Duties

• Write and edit product documentation including online help, reference guides, and training materials
• Review, edit, and assist in the development of internal documents prepared by others
• Assist in efforts to continually improve the application
• Assist in the creation of graphics and screenshots for requirement documents
• Provide usability feedback to the product team
• Assist in creating and maintaining documentation standards

Candidate Requirements:

• BA/BS in Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, English, or equivalent
• 0-2 years of technical writing experience
• Superior attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate with different audiences
• Interest in technology and a hunger for learning
• Willingness to take initiative and be accountable for your own work
• Ability to identify problems and bring them to supervisors attention
• Working knowledge of styles, HTML, and Microsoft Office required
• Knowledge of MadCap Flare or any online help software, XML, layout/design software, programming, and databases a plus
