Job Information

OptionEase has an immediate opening for a Software Technical writer /Documentation specialist.

Roles and responsibilities:

The qualified candidate shall be responsible for developing and maintaining a full range of documentation for external and internal consumption. These include but are not limited to User Manuals, HTML based Help Files, Training Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures and Quick Reference Guides.

Tasks include:

Provide technical writing for program and operational documentation
Gathers, analyzes, and composes technical information
Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology
Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
Review content of technical documentation for quality
Produce technical and scientific illustrations for presentations and/or publication, as appropriate to the requirement
Provide documentation in presentation-ready quality output using advanced word processing or desktop publishing software
Additionally, this individual will share responsibility with the QA department to document processes and procedures, and with the Training team to create end-user documentation

Required Skills:

3 to 5 years of experience in documentation of Training Manuals & SOPs
Proficient in Word, PPT and Excel
Ability to get organized and drive the documentation track
Ability to interface effectively at all levels within the project team and the organization, both internal and external to our client.
Source the right people to determine what is required and create a plan to ensure timely delivery.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced project environment
Strong understanding of software development life-cycle (SDLC)
Ability to identify and document UAT Test Cases based on Requirement and Design Documents
Experience with help authoring tools such as Robohelp a plus
Background or experience in accounting a plus

Qualifications/Requirements:

Three or more years working for an established software development organization
Bachelor degree in science or arts
