Summary:
The Technical Writer creates a wide variety of User Manuals or documentation based on engineering meetings, technical specifications, systems demonstrations or other available sources.
Qualification Requirements:
Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly
Education: Bachelor?s Degree in English, Business or equivalent experience is desired.
Experience: 4 or more years? experience technical writing in support of large, complex technical systems.
Skills:
Ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to help strengthen the quality of the product
Ability to work with development team and subject matter experts to capture processes and procedures
Ability to work collaboratively
Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite and to customize templates using advanced Word
Demonstrated experience creating PDF?s using Adobe Acrobat
Familiarity and experience with image capture and editing software
Demonstrate attention to details
Experience managing and using a Wiki for collaboration
Experience using help authoring systems like Robohelp

Creating user manuals or documentation
Interface with development team and subject matter experts to capture processes and procedures
Conducting research to clarify issues associated with manuals or technical documentation
