Schoolnet is currently recruiting for a Technical Writer who will be responsible for writing, editing and indexing a variety of technical user documentation for Schoolnet?s product suite. The writer may be asked to write for or contribute to other projects as needed. This is a full time position reporting to the Director, User Experience based in New York.

Responsibilities:
Create, proofread and maintain technical documentation for current and future product offerings including user guides, technical reference manuals, product overviews and integration, installation and site administration guides
Write, edit, produce and maintain Context-sensitive online help
Collaborate with internal staff including Product, Technology/Development and Client Services to maintain understanding of product functionality to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of technical documentation
Research and evaluate new documentation tools and methods and improve documentation processes
Provide other writing and proofreading services to the Product group
Qualifications:
2 years of experience developing and/or proofreading technical documentation for complex software products
Superb proofreading and copyediting skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience using Adobe RoboHelp, Adobe Framemaker and/or MadCap Flare software
Experience in education industry or with education products a plus
