The Technical Writer performs writing tasks writing technical documents within bids and proposals, including technical matrices and narratives that reflect the detailed capabilities of PowerSchool.
Technical Writer performs writing tasks, including writing technical documents within bids and proposals, including technical matrices and narratives that reflect the detailed capabilities of the Schoolnet Suite product suite.
Review customer RFP/Bid specifications, and write responses that match product line capabilities
Create, proofread and maintain technical documentation for current and future proposals, product overviews and library of documents.
Write persuasively using win themes and feedback from sales to ensure responses are tailored for each proposal response
Work to meet all proposal deadlines as requested by customers/prospects.
Collaborate with internal staff including Product, Technology/Development and Client Services to maintain understanding of product functionality to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of responses and technical documentation
Provide other writing and proofreading services to the Marketing group
2 years of experience developing and/or proofreading technical documentation for complex software products
Superb proofreading and copyediting skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in education industry or with education software products a plus
Must demonstrate intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other desktop productivity software tools.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, structured writing and verbal communication skills are essential for successful performance in this position. Must demonstrate a detail orientation.
Experience in managing projects, and demonstrated ability to coordinate and assertively lead ad hoc teams to meet proposal completion deadlines.
Excellent team player and ability to handle fast paced environment around customer deadlines and project completion
Ability to learn new information and concepts quickly
Knowledge of Schoolnet desired.
