We're looking for a technical writer who is passionate about authoring documentation and educational media that are seen as assets, rather than afterthoughts. In this role, you'll own and curate a portfolio of product documentation for the next generation of digital marketers, ensuring quality, usability, completeness and timeliness. Projects will range from preparation of written documentation to working with team members on the production of short video "how-to" demonstrations. You'll collaborate with StrongMail experts in Product, Engineering, and Technical Support and you'll have the opportunity to drive StrongMail's user education experience toward excellence.Responsibilities:
Create compelling written and rich media content that instructs end users how to manage their digital marketing programs using StrongMail products.
Create and maintain courseware for StrongMail training courses.
Prepare written and visual "What's New" documentation as part of new product launches.
Prepare API documentation
Establish good quality dialog with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams so that these materials are complete and effective
Qualifications:
3+ years of professional writing experience.
Experience with web-based enterprise applications, preferably for digital marketing and web analytics.
Basic HTML skills and experience with documentation tools such as Madcap Flare or Adobe RoboHelp.
Desire to constantly seek end-user feedback to improve your documentation.
Sufficient technical background to understand APIs for documentation
Ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
Ability to translate technical ideas into simple, easy to understand content.
