The Technical Writer's role is to develop written information about the organization's computing systems that aid in their development, use, and support. Outputs will include a range of documents to be read by both technical and non-technical personnel across the organization in all departments and customers. This role will also coordinate and produce relevant reports and presentation materials for the clients, project teams, executive teams and other relevant audiences as needed. There will be administrative tasks associated with this role such as coordinating meetings with clients and processing work ordersResponsibilities:
? Author and edit a range of documents, including user guides and manuals, technical specifications and training materials for both print and online media in support of the Greenway product lines.
? Insure that all technical documents meet established corporate documentation standards.
? Work with members of the product team to establish corporate documentation standards.
? Analyze IT project requirements and liaise with the training team to determine types of documents needed.
? Coordinate presentations, meetings and calls
? Produce and distribute easy to understand/ well- organized reports
? Participate in software development improvement activities.
? Maintain clear and effective communications with Technical Support, Professional Services, Product Management, Development and Clients.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
? B.A./B.S. preferred or equivalent Knowledge Base/ Technical Writing work experience.
? 1-2 years? experience in technical writing preferred.
? Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems required.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
? Proficiency in PowerPoint and Visio is a plus.
? Experience with healthcare information systems is a plus.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
? Must be exceedingly organized and detail oriented
? Highly self-motivated and directed.
? Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
