Continuent, the market leader in clustering and replication for open source databases, is looking for a technical writer to document Tungsten clustering and replication. This is an ideal position if you have excellent writing skills combined with database application programming or DBA background. As a Technical Writer you will be responsible for documenting Continuent's award-winning Tungsten software, including:
Planning the structure of technical documentation including tutorials, references, FAQs, and the like
Defining publication formats including web layouts and style sheets
Analyzing product features by reading designs, talking to developers, and trying things out yourself
Preparing documentation for end users in a variety of formats
Rearranging, editing, and generally improving existing product documentation
To make the grade with us you?ll need to have the following:
Native fluency in English combined with excellent writing skills
Strong technical background including DBMS systems and programming languages
Ability to set up and evaluate complex system software with minimal help
Demonstrated success in creating highly professional software documentation
Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, and wikis like Atlassian Confluence
A strong sense of curiosity as well as the persistence to winkle information out of engineers
