The Audio Visual Technician I provides media broadcast operations and executive audio/visual support to government and corporate clients. The Audio Visual Technican I must be proficient with a wide range of technologies related to audio and video production, streaming media, videoconferencing, and audiovisual operations support.
This position, in Yorktel?s Media Services department, reports directly to the Audio Visual Technician II overseeing their work site. They are member of the team overseen by the production manager overseeing Media Services on-site activities.
The Audio Visual Technician I must demonstrate a knowledge of all aspects of the live event production process. This includes producing live television broadcasts, webcasts, and recordings of high-profile events. The employee should be comfortable filling most roles in a live production environment should the need arise.
This position may be delegated responsibility to oversee contractors temporarily assigned to their place of operation, or temporarily assume responsibilities of their on-site AV Tech I in that person?s absence.
This position regularly collaborates with customer stakeholders and internal team leaders .

Key Technical Responsibilities:
Operate video production switcher and cameras during events
Operate audio mixing board during live broadcasts and large events
Streaming media encoding, digital video editing and digital asset management
Provide audiovisual support for conferences and events
Setup and initiate ISDN and/or IP videoconferences
Audio and video signal routing, patching, switching
Record tape masters, maintain accurate tape logs and provide media duplication as needed
Knowledge of and adherence to Yorktel policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements :
Skills and additional Responsibilities:
Strong experience in broadcast video production
Experience with audio production and sound reinforcement fundamentals
Skilled in the setup and operation of a wide variety of audiovisual equipment
Solid experience with various streaming media and digital media formats, encoding, transcoding
Familiarity with videoconferencing codecs and conferencing services
