The Technology Consultant is responsible for leading the technology aspects of our Business Process Consulting engagements. As such they bring a deep understanding of the both the client business need she core technology that is in place supporting typical healthcare business entities and how current technology can be applied to produce measurable results. The Technology Consultant must also display the ability to understand iHT strategy and services for this market that will utilize data collection, analysis and new insights driven by analytics.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands client and/or iHT strategy and align efforts to best support it
Reviews and conducts technology assessments of our clients, documenting current state, to be recommendations and a supporting roadmap.
Has familiarity with current application architectures, industry leading technology vendors and their solutions and the systems integration approaches that are required to create end to end solutions.
Works extensively at the CXO level to understand and document their pain points, and capture associated costs of their as-is environments.
Works within the CXO environment to document and communicate solution approach, expected costs, and potential ROI.
Provides analysis and recommendations on technology to solutions development teams, go to market leaders and participates as needed during Solutioning Meetings
Works with delivery and application development teams to help translate the technical roadmap and vision provided to the client to ensure our end to solution meets client expectations
Meets Billable Utilization targets
Works with third party vendors to develop relationships, understand the future and functions of key components that may be included in our solutions and ensure there are appropriate levels of system integration in place to deliver our solutions.
Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
Effectively manages client expectations
Seeks and applies feedback from clients and appropriately shares with internal teams
Supports Market Leads in qualifying opportunities and supporting technology components of our solutions
Supports professional services, Delivery Service Executives in ensuring the expectations of both the client and the iHT stakeholders are met

4 year college degree or equivalent experience combination of education and experience
8+ years of experience as technology leader in a medium to large organization
4+ years acting as primary Consultant for technical solutions, either custom built applications or solutions built around packaged applications
Experience with technology infrastructure design and operations
Experience evaluating and prioritizing tasks and projects based on business drivers
Strong understanding of SDLC and infrastructure change management methodologies
Experience working with software systems, applications and network technologies
Experience working with technical products, vendors, and families of technologies and company hardware and software products, including transaction systems, databases, and web/cloud based computing
Experience working with broad business area and knowledge of competitor products and services
Experience working with application design principles
Experience working with software development life cycle and client requirements
50% travel working from home office as a base
Must be able to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs without assistance
After hours / weekend work required where necessary for major deliverables/deadlines (not consistent)
Market Leads as a sales support and technical asset applied to develop relationships
Professional Services resources including Delivery Service Executives and Lead Designers in setting the stage and ensuring successful delivery of our solutions.
