Technology Project Manager Level 2
Position Overview: Responsible for planning, executing and evaluating select projects according to predetermined timeline and budget. Build and manage project teams, ensuring quality control throughout the project life cycle. Could include: client-facing software implementation projects or internal strategic projects.
Responsibilities
Direct Project Management
Develop full scale project plans.
Manage from simple to complex projects, both internal and client-facing.
Develop the project charter to define scope, goals and deliverables.
Ensure projects meet internal and client expectations with respect to quality, budget, delivery time lines, and strategy.
Identify, track, manage and mitigate project risks.
Assemble, coordinate, direct and support the project team.
Manage project budget.
Proactively manage project issues and problems as they arise.
Be able to manage client expectations and communicate effectively to all stakeholders, from senior management to project team members.
Consistently monitor and periodically report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
Provide project evaluations and assess project results.
Additional responsibilities could include::
Portfolio management and analysis: Help maintain the status of all projects and create reports; Assess impact, scope, LOE and risk of proposed projects.
Training: Design and lead PM training sessions.
Resource management: Help slot and allocate resources to new projects.
Best practices: Develop PM tools and templates.
Required Experience
Skills and approach
Minimum 4 years of experience with all aspects of project management practice, including a strong track record of project delivery for large, cross functional, and complex projects.
Previous experience driving effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across disparate groups with competing priorities.
Strong organizational ability and keen attention to detail, with strong prioritization skills.
Strong analytical (both strategic and quantitative) skills.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Software implementation management experience a strong plus.
Strong computer skills, very proficient with MS Office applications. Experience using MS Project and Excel a strong plus.
Experience as part of a successful PMO a plus.
Education and other
Minimum of Bachelor?s Degree
Local candidates only.
Availability to travel up to 25%.
Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 p?m.? However, hours may vary as dictated by project demands.?
PMI certification, other project management certification or equivalent experience in enterprise project management a plus.
