DESCRIPTION
NetSpend is seeking a Telecom Engineer to provide day-to-day maintenance and support for the company?s PBX, call center platform and toll-free routing systems. This individual will provide a high level of support and customer service to internal clients and must be comfortable interfacing with individuals at all levels. Responsibilities:
Level 2 support of all telephony systems (software and hardware) including: CallManager, IPCC Express (UCCX) and Unity
Ownership of problem resolution. Open & manage Cisco TAC support tickets
Installation and management of all Cisco platform software upgrades, updates and patches
Test and deploy new features and functionality
Diagnostics & trouble resolution
Production Ad-hoc reports
Backups & disaster recovery
Project management of all upgrades, new system integrations
Proactive monitoring of all telecom-related systems and equipment
Other special projects as assigned
Maintain current documentation of network design, operation, and procedure manuals.
Support & programming of Cisco toll-free routing tools
Weekly (often daily) communication with carriers related to changes, additions and problem resolution
Monitor traffic patterns and trunk group availability
Coordination of traffic routing, changes and enhancements with all impacted departments and vendors
Emergency, holiday and special-case routing of toll-free traffic
Skills/Education/Experience:
2+ years in an IT help desk role, with at least six months? experience performing day-to-day phone system administration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, solve complex problems and meet critical timelines
Schedule flexibility: ability to be on-call for after-hours issues
Able to be on-call and work occasionally after call center hours to trouble shoot issues and deploy updates and changes as needed
Experience supporting phone systems in a high-volume call center environment preferred
Cisco CCNA Certification preferred
Experience working on the following Cisco systems: CallManager, Unity, IPCC Express preferred
Voice & data cabling, termination & testing preferred
