Responsibilities:
The telecom systems engineer will engage in engineering and supporting a large scale softswitch deployment based on a Solaris Platform. The ideal candidate is a UNIX systems expert with strong understanding and experience with with telecom technologies including SIP and SBC architecture.
VOIP and Telecom Engineering
SOft Switch ENgineering and systems support
ACME Packet SBC and DIalogic SBC Engineering
UNIX Systems Engineering servicing a soft switch platform
Tier 3 support for Operations as needed
Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
3-5 years expereince in a Telecom and Systems Engineering role
College degree in CS or Engineering preferred
Expertise in soft switching environment with Veraz/Dialogic preferred but other Softswitch environments considered
Expertise in SIP and TDM technologies: SIP, SBCs (Acme PAcket preferred)
Experience with SOlaris desired: Netra240, T2K, X86 deployments
Expertise with UNIX systems and tools; parsing large flat files using UNIX tools and shell scripting
Build out SIP trunks through proxy and B2BUA SBCs. Experience on large scale SIP environment preferred.
Expertise in open source VOIP tools and platforms: FreeSwitch, SIP-P, Asterisk
