Temporary to Regular Manufacturing Operator I

Summary

nLIGHT is seeking a qualified person to work in our manufacturing production operations located in Hillsboro, Oregon.

• Support device manufacturing in various hands-on production tasks including but not limited to: heat sink cleaning, die bonding, scribing, inspection, isolation, wire bonding, soldering, electromechanical assembly and packaging.
• Position requires working a minimum of 8 hours in a clean room environment, wearing clean room garments.
• Position may require using a microscope for long periods of time.
• Position may require handling acids and solvents for long periods of time.
• May include extended periods of standing and sitting.
• Operation of test equipment with active lasers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in electronics assembly.
• Experienced handling small delicate components, using ESD practices and clean room protocol.
• Soldering and wire bonding experience a plus (ideal: certification on IPC J-STD-001 for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies).
• Must be comfortable using chemicals.
• Must be comfortable with the use of computer for data entry.
• Must have good mechanical and fine motor skills.
• Ability to multitask
