Provide excellent service to internal and external customers who interface with the Shared Services Center (SSC) in Singapore
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Shared Services Customer Service Liaison
This position functions as the communication link between the SSC and Corporate HQ including AP, AR, and close activities:
AP
o Work with the SSC to resolve vendor calls and emails concerning past due invoices and past due balances
o Facilitate vendor payments (check run, wires, etc.)
AR
o Work with the SSC to resolve customer calls and emails concerning invoicing questions and credit hold statuses
o Daily application of cash receipts
Close
o Work with SSC on various close related activities to ensure timely close by monitoring the calendar for updates and ensuring the JE log is populated
Month-end Close Activities
o Key contributor to monthly, quarterly and annual accounting close
o Cash, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Singapore Inter-company and other accrual sections of the General Ledger including monthly reconciliations
o Sales tax returns
Audit and SEC Support
Audit schedule preparation and monitoring
Maintain and update open item list
Prepare and complete quarterly tie out binder
SOX Support
Update documents and ensure proper version control
Cross reference master documents to test and control matrices
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
B.S./B.A. with 5 - 8 years of industry/public accounting experience
Experience working in a Shared Services environment a plus
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Mastery of core accounting areas (AP, AR, Cash, Fixed Assets) including basic understanding of the requirements of the Sarbanes Oxley Act as it relates to controls over these core processes
Strong general ledger account analysis, month-end close, reconciliation experience
Strong PC skills, especially in Word, Excel, and Outlook
o Experience with mid-tier Accounting system
o Experience with paperless working environment a plus
Strong skills in verbal and written communication, analysis and problem solving, organization and time management
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills
