SUMMARY: This position is responsible for achieving the sales expectations of an assigned territory. Success is realized by building strong customer relationships, conducting consultative sales calls, utilizing solid product/technical knowledge, following a targeted call plan, and developing/maintaining a comprehensive business plan that is focused on maintenance of base business, and new customer
cultivation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned on an individual basis:
Drives all daily sales objectives, which are focused on territory growth. This includes new account targeting, cultivation, and launch planning/execution
Manages daily sales objectives for VCS and/or CS
Conducts consultative sales calls on Interventional Cardiologists, Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons
Executes on territory business plans in a 6-month sales cycle/quota-based system
Directs all training and education planning during account launches
Transfers account knowledge to VCS and/or CS
Manages expense budgets for their respective team, and is accountable for team compliance
Builds and maintains solid customer relationships
Demonstrates outstanding product knowledge and can impart this knowledge to team
Implements targeted call plan with entire team of VCS-s/CS-s and efficiently allocates human and corporate resources
Completes administrative requirements on time and accurately
Maintains company standards involving ethical and moral character while professionally representing the company
Responsible for developing relationships with hospital administrative staff and executing/developing corporate contracts
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BA in Business or related discipline or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 4 years of related experience
Effective interpersonal interactions, both within the Commercialization group and more broadly across the organization
Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities; and ability to maintain good working relationships while dealing appropriately with sensitive and confidential matters and with a wide variety of personal and telephone contacts
Excellent verbal and written communications skills; proficiency in business English and grammar; attention to detail to maintain records and process reports
Proficiency with PC-based office computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
Ability to work independently
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work includes potential exposure to human bloodborne pathogens or other potentially infectious materials.
Work includes potential exposure to radiation sources such as fluoroscope in a catheter laboratory setting.
Work includes potential exposure to chemicals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No direct (formal) supervisory responsibilities; may have day-to-day interactions/assign work for VCSs and/or CSs assigned to territory
