The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for all agricultural sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. Develops and implements agreed upon Marketing Plan which will meet business goals of expanding customer base in the marketing area. The Territory Sales Manager works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of revenue goals, customer satisfaction, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Meet or exceed revenue goals set by the company on a quarterly and annual basis.
Develop a tactical sales plan for their territories that includes all target agricultural markets.
Monitor sales versus forecast and channel inventory on a monthly basis.
Manage channel and end user relationships effectively to maximize sales and market share.
Execute a Pull Through strategy at the end user level.
Train Distributor/Dealer/PCA?s on the proper use of MBI products
Develop a strong internal working relationship with key MBI colleagues including the Director of Sales, Product Management, Product Development and key admin and R & D personnel located in the Davis office.
Implement grower demos where appropriate.
Manage expense budget
Manage the sales process via a CRM system.
Participate/speak/display at key industry meetings
Crop Focus- All tree and vine crops, row crops, forage crops and High Value Specialty crops
Travel ? 50-60% overnight anticipated
Potential candidate must have an accomplished sales management background in the agricultural chemical product space
Candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of the agricultural chemical market as a whole and how it relates to the distribution channel, large key growers and university and other important centers of influence.
Must have a valid California Pest Control Advisers license
Must have a valid driver license
Must have the ability and experience to sell a highly technical product
Bio-pesticide experience is preferred but not required

The successful candidate must be able to legally work in the US. Must possess a B.S. degree in the life sciences or an agricultural-related field. The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience with pesticide products. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and should also possess a strong drive to succeed and an ability to work with minimal direction. Good computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. In addition, the individual should have:
