The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and closing business opportunities across ModSpace product offerings and industry segments (with a strong focus on the custom/complex business) in an assigned territory.
The TSM will:
Direct ownership of revenue generated in territory through account/territory management for the sale/lease of all asset and project types ? custom and fleet, ancillary and value-added products, MedBuild, Government, and other Vertical projects
Maintain and grow share of existing client base in assigned territory; develop a viable pipeline of new business
Gain comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and market and how/where ModSpace fits and can grow
Identify, implement, record, and measure regular, continuous prospecting efforts throughout territory to grow market share; identify top 20 targets; utilize SalesForce.com to prospect and record lead generation, communication, and conversion.
Develop and implement key account plans and strategies in cooperation with National Accounts, MedBuild, Government, and other verticals
Generate professional quotations and proposals as necessary and in conjunction with Operations and Construction Services
Conduct regular meaningful client contact ? project site visits for service and up-sell potential
Effectively sell at the C-Level, targeting and researching appropriate accounts; developing the ModSpace Value Proposition; and packaging this into concise and compelling message that tightly aligns the customers' needs with the ModSpace capabilities
Demonstrate high level of communication and integration with operational teammates and Construction Services support
Through a structured planning approach, manage assigned territory to effectively balance Activates, News Sales, and Used Sales
Establish cohesive working relationship with assigned Inside Sales Associate in order to effectively transition and then fulfill customer orders for singles, storage, HQ, and other work simple in scope
Participate in local networking organizations and opportunities
Obtain state licensing (where required)
Know your branch fleet: availability and readiness
Conduct on-site client transactions at the branch location
Perform other duties as assigned
A successful candidate:
Has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing, or Engineering or a minimum of 4 years sales, operations, construction/fleet management, or real estate experience
Has a minimum of 5 years of progressive outside sales experience or equivalent training/experience or certified as a ModSpace ISA program graduate
Has demonstrated skills developing long-term customer partnerships up to and including the C-level (customer acquisition, development, and retention)
Has strong planning, organizational, and territory management skills
Has demonstrated skills in teamwork effectiveness across all functional areas
Is a creative, motivated individual with assertive consultative selling, conceptual selling, and negotiation skills
Is PC proficient in a Windows environment with the MS Office Suite
Has excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
Is able to travel 25-50% of the time, percentage of travel and frequency of overnight travel dependent upon geographic territory
Holds a valid Driver's License
Has construction/industrial or large equipment sales experience - preferred
Has experience using SalesForce.com - preferred
