Atherotech?s Sales Team is looking for a Territory Sales Representative to focus on spreading our innovative technology across multiple markets. We need those individuals with a passion for sales and the desire to ?run your own business,? who will represent our diagnostic testing to physicians and practices throughout their territory. This representative will work on the road in a fast-paced sales and servicing environment, and be rewarded for their achievements through a lucrative uncapped commission plan. A successful Territory Sales Representative at Atherotech is a hybrid of both ?Hunter" and ?Farmer" as they must demonstrate all the requisite skills and characteristics of both types of rep -- actively bringing on new accounts while flawlessly servicing their existing accounts. As a ?hunter?, they must possess all the skills required to successfully build a new territory from the ground up -- prospecting, cold-calling and selling new products to new customers in unfamiliar accounts and geographies. As a ?farmer" they must possess all the skills required to maintain and grow a large existing territory -- attention to detail, flawless service, troubleshooting, the ability to upsell and to defend against competitive threats.
Experience and Skills:
What you'll do?
Identify, qualify and cold-call prospective customers.
Present and sell the company?s products and services to current and potential customers.
Develop an annual business plan in conjunction with Regional Director.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Atherotech?s products & pricing, billing, and competitive products and strategies.
Conduct business conversations with a variety of decision maker-types and stakeholders within each account.
Initiate and conduct effective customer educational programs and presentations.
Maintain accurate records of all prospecting, selling and follow-up activities within their assigned territory; follow the company?s reporting and administrative requirements.
Continue to pursue new business while still maintaining superior customer service with existing accounts.
Adhere to company policies, procedures and business ethics code.
What We Seek?
BS/BA degree in business or other related field is preferred.
Previous diagnostic/lab sales, ?buy and bill? sales, medical device sales, durable medical equipment or business-to-business sales experience is required with a proven record of successful sales work history through consistent examples of past awards, recognitions, and top rankings.
Personal drive and internal motivation toward high achievement.
Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability; willingness to take risks and try new approaches.
Entrepreneurial drive and desire to ": run your own business?.
Excellent communication (oral and written and presentation skills).
Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and the internet for research.
This position requires significant drive times (2-4 hrs. /day) as well as 1-3 overnights/week to current and potential clients. The possession of a valid state driver?s license without driving infractions or restrictions is mandatory.
