Territory Sales Representative - Corporate Sales Team Jive Software
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Jive is seeking an ambitious and talented Sales Representative for our Corporate Sales Team. This role is responsible for selling our software and services in a specific geographical region via phone and web. You will use a consultative approach to sell social collaboration/knowledge management software to Fortune 1000 companies. With over 5,000 customers already, this is a great opportunity to hit a hot market with a best-of-breed technology and to grow with Jive.
Maximize sales into an assigned territory working with colleagues and Sales Management when appropriate to target major accounts and large sales opportunities.
Target at least 4 hours per day on the phone with clients and prospects.
Prospect, develop opportunities, demonstrate the product, close sales and prepare appropriate documentation.
Follow up on inquiries generated through web and marketing programs.
When appropriate, work closely with the Channel in assigned territory in an effort to leverage selling efforts into the area.
Keep daily record of calls and information requests sent.
Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company.
Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
Expand customer base by identifying and selling to companies that are not current customers.
Update and maintain Sales database as appropriate.
Assist sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers, and technical staff.
Act as mentor to new sales staff and assist in the development of sales training material.
Skills and Knowledge
Able to provide high degree of major account management and control.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere.
Strong written/verbal communications skills.
High degree of product knowledge and technical terms used by customers in combination with Jive Software products.
Expertise with use of sales information databases.
Education and Experience
College coursework required - BA or BS preferred.
Minimum five years sales experience in a related enterprise software industry.
Exceptional track record of targeting and closing deals with C level executives at new enterprise customers.
Must be able to demonstrate a history of closing software licecnse deals at or above $100K and quota attainment of $1 mil.
