Test Automation Engineer Azimuth Systems

WiMAX, LTE and other wireless technologies. Azimuth?s products are used by the world?s foremost
wireless semiconductor OEM's, handset OEM's, Network Equipment OEM's and Mobile Operators.
Azimuth?s real world test solutions enable research, development, QA and marketing engineers to
test the performance, conformance and certification of broadband wireless devices and networks
supporting data, voice and video applications.
The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and support of software
automation for Azimuth Systems Products. This includes creating test methodologies and strategies
from the ground up. The engineer will work with R&D and SW Integration test groups in early
development to create automation tools that will drive the final manufacturing test suites.
? Develop modular test software routines using NI-LabVIEW and/or NI-LabWindows/CVI and/or
Visual Studio test sequences for control, automation, limits testing, calibration, archiving,
reporting, and tracking. TestStand experience a plus.
? Design and develop robust reusable instrument-drivers to support the long-term goal of
developing an automation library.
? Maintain existing LabVIEW scripts, update drivers, VI?s, modify code to support new features,
settings & results.
? Work with the development team to create/implement detailed test strategies and requirement
? Design tools and test fixtures in support of test and automation.
? Create tools & algorithms that provide means to analyze, visualize and process test results on a
continuous basis. Access or SQL database experience a definite plus.
? BSEE / BSCS degree or equivalent
? Test engineering background. RF experience a definite plus.
? 5+ year?s industry experience with familiarity of high tech manufacturing.
? Expert knowledge of automation developments environments (NI a plus)
? Ability to create, debug, modify, update and deploy complex automation source code in a timely

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Programming capabilities in automation development environments
? Other programming languages: Perl, Python, TCLTK
? Experience with RF (450MHz-6GHz) including strong working knowledge of Network Analyzers,
Signal Generators and Spectrum Analyzers (including their digital communications personalities).
? Familiar with RF measurements such as EVM, Isolation, Phase Noise and Noise Floor a plus.
? Equipment and product calibration techniques
? Instrument Control such as GPIB, RS232, VXI, PXI, USB, LXI/Ethernet
? Knowledge of SQL/MySQL, HTML programming a plus
? Environments such as Windows, Unix, Linux
? The desire and ability to take ownership, responsibility and work independently.
? Experience with a popular source-code-management system (CVS, subversion, GIT, etc).
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
