TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER iMODULES
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The role of the Test Automation Engineer is to design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions. To fulfill this role, the Test Engineer applies appropriate automation technologies to meet the short and long term goals of the testing organization. The objective is to automate as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code/scripts. The focus should first be on reducing test effort and then increasing testing coverage. If one manual test case or manual test preparation process consumes a large percentage of test resources, then this manual process should be the first to be automated.
Improve automation infrastructure, which is in its infancy stage
Create, review and implement the automated test case coverage for regression and new feature tests
Maintain the automation test environments
Strong problem solving, reasoning and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Quick learner and able to learn new technologies and web programming languages on own as necessary
Experience with automated testing and techniques, bug tracking systems, test design and execution
Ability to work constructively with developers, other QA, project managers and management towards a common goal
High motivation and desire to do whatever it takes to help the customer and company succeed
A minimum of a bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related software engineering discipline, or equivalent
Experience testing web applications
Experience with C# is desirable
Familiarity with Selenium a plus
Scripting experience in Perl, Ruby, TCL a plus
This is a full-time position with benefits based in Overland Park, Kansas. Company will be moving to Leawood, Kansas, in May 2013.
