Job Summary
You will be responsible for leading, planning, developing, and maintaining our automation test suites starting with selecting our testing tools, technologies, and environments. Our QA testers will have documented, manual test cases for you to automate, so there will not be any ?on-the-fly? test case writing. You will create browser-based tests for web apps, ReST calls for our headless API servers using SoapUI, and possibly tests for our mobile device on device or with an emulator.
You will regularly work cross-functionally with engineering, product managers, and other QA teams to identify risk areas, testing responses, and representing QA concerns.
This position will be either a tech lead or a manager depending on your skills and interest.
Responsibilities
Architect a frameworks for automation
Build library of reusable code. Document the library
Develop and maintain test scripts
Report test results and create bug reports as needed
Hire a team of tester automators. Mentor them and oversee their work
Stay informed on customer and industry trends regularly integrating into on-going testing
Understand and drive SQA methodologies and practices throughout QA and Development
Create opportunities to represent Flurry to the developer and test communities including articles, blogs, forums, conferences, etc.
Key Qualifications
5+ years in software quality assurance preferably in a start up environment
3+ years in full time test automation
2+ years experience in software quality assurance leadership position
2+ years experience with Windows and Linux
Experience with mobile testing is a plus
Strong communication, written skills, and interpersonal skills (required to establish and maintain inter-departmental relationships)
Comfortable with fast paced schedule driven development
Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge
BS/MS EE/CS or technical degree or relevant experience
