Test Engineer RipCode

This position is responsible for designing and developing complete manufacturing test solutions for prototype products released to mass production as well as existing products, which requires sustaining and improving existing test solutions.

Responsibilities include:

Drive Design for Test (DFT) process during product design and development phases, provide debug and board bring-up support, define and implement manufacturing test coverage, strategy and solutions for manufacturing
Interface with hardware and software engineering, product team and the contract manufacturer for manufacturing test plan development, test coverage development, test equipment requirements, test setup, train, and resolve test issues that arise
Develop automated manufacturing test solutions for complex PCBs and Systems Chassis
Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced working environment


Requirements include:

Minimum of 4 years experience in the area of manufacturing automation test development
B.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Strong scripting skills in one or more areas: LabVIEW, Linux, Python, MySQL
Strong understanding of Design for Test (DFT) process and implementation
In-depth understanding of high volume and complex systems production process
Good documentation skills, high quality coding skills, and proven experience driving and meeting required milestones on time
Can do attitude with excellent problem solving and project organization skills
Ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment
Self-starter as well as a good team player, with strong verbal and written skills
Experience desired in one or more of the following areas: DOCSIS, CMTS, MPEG-2-PSI, DVB, PSIP/ATSC protocols and IP video networking
Strong skills to create Quality Matrix charts while identifying trends in manufacturing and RMA data
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
