Compusearch Software Systems, Inc., a leading provider for procurement and grants solutions to the federal marketplace, is seeking a Test Manager.
The Test Manager at Compusearch is responsible for managing the Quality Assurance staff and process for all Compusearch?s software products including PRISM and FedConnect. PRISM is the leading COTS Federal acquisition and grants management software solution for the US Federal market. FedConnect is the vendor portal serving as an online marketplace where federal agencies post opportunities and make awards via the web.
Compusearch follows Agile Scrum methodology. The Test Manager is responsible for working with Product Owners and Scrum Masters. and. The Test manager is responsible for staff development in a matrixed organization as well as the test process guidelines and standards that result in delivery of a high quality product. Primary responsibilities include:
Providing the technical vision and plan for testing Compusearch products.
Managing the day to day activities of functional and technical testing staff. Ensures goals are met on time, on budget, and within defined scope and quality.
Development of testing process and standards.
Planning certification testing for all third party software products.
Designing and planning regression test strategy.
Leading the incorporation of automated testing into our process.
Management activities to including planning, estimating, technical leadership, deliverable preparation and review, schedule monitoring, and risk/issue management
Interaction with technical team leadership, including the engineering director and product operations director.
Providing quality assurance analysts training in functional and automated testing
Employee leadership including setting goals and objectives for individuals, managing employee performance and reviews, motivating and mentoring, and coaching employees to achieve desired results.
Recruiting new test engineers.
Develop and manage metrics for performance improvement of teams
Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training
Experience, Skills/Abilities, and Education:
8+ years of professional experience in a software development organization with at least 3 in a management role.
BA/BS in computer related technical field.
Strong understanding of IT related best practices in the Software Quality Assurance area and experience implementing them.
Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of metrics such as defect profiles and performance
Experience with testing application interfaces to external systems, security, Web Services.
Experience with automation tools for testing applications.
Experience with Agile methodology desired.
Experience with testing software products desired
Expertise testing with the following technologies is required:
Microsoft .NET, .ASP and general software development
Microsoft IIS and Microsoft Windows 2000/2003
Oracle Databases and PL/SQ
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Clearance:
